07: Setting Custom Rates for Tasks
Note: Editing pay rates can be done only by a manager.
This is done on an employee basis, which means different employees can have different rates for the same task.
Click Employees on the left. Browse the employee list to find the employee you want, or use the search field to find them.
Click any employee field to edit employee details, and open the Tasks and Rates tab. All tasks are listed below the employee’s base rate.
By default, each task is assigned the employee’s base rate, and is enabled (available for the employee). To change the rate for a task, click any task field. This opens the task details window.
Set the pay type to Custom Rate, and enter the rate for the task. Then choose whether the rate will be effective for the current or previous pay period.
Click Save, and the custom rate will be listed for the task.
