13: Adding Payroll Adjustments for an Employee

Payroll adjustments are taxable or non-taxable additional wages or earnings, such as bonuses, gas stipends, cell phone allowance, etc. 

There are standard adjustments provided by Hourly, and you can set up custom payroll adjustments.

To add an adjustment for an employee, click Payroll along the left, then choose the pay period.

Find or search for the employee you want.

Click the employee’s three-dot icon and choose Payroll Adjustments.

Click Add, and under Type, choose the payroll adjustment. The drop-down list includes all active standard adjustments provided by Hourly, as well as any custom adjustments you’ve set up. Adjustments must be active in order to appear here.

If the adjustment is related to a specific location or task, choose those from the drop-downs. Then enter the adjustment amount.

Click Save, and the adjustment and its value are listed.
